Dr Hamish Rae

Dr Hamish Rae has over 10 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery and has worked in public and private hospitals throughout Sydney, Australia and the United Kingdom. Dr Rae has now established the Orthoelite practice with Dr Razvan Stoita to provide specialist orthopaedic services to the community of Sydney through three convenient locations , Hurstville Private Hospital, Kareena Private Hospital in Caringbah, and Sydney Private Hospital in Ashfield. Dr Rae also performs trauma and emergency surgery at St George and Sutherland Public Hospitals.

Dr Rae has a passion for joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee and shoulder as well as arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He has extensive trauma experience throughout Australia and in the UK, particularly in complex trauma of the upper limb and completed fellowships in Shoulder and elbow surgery in Sydney and complex hip and knee arthroplasty (joint replacements) in London, UK.  He has worked in many of the major orthopaedic centres of Sydney including St George , Concord, Sutherland, Liverpool, Sydney Children’s Hospital, the Hand unit at Sydney Hospital, Canterbury and Prince of Wales Hospital as both trainee and specialist practitioner.
